Kawasaki Ninja 500 PRICE

Kawasaki has launched the new Ninja 500 in India at Rs 5.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The new baby Ninja joins the Ninja 400 and Ninja 300 in the company's Indian portfolio. Interestingly, the Ninja 500 is priced exactly the same as the Ninja 400. It is not yet clear whether Kawasaki will continue to sell the new Ninja 500 as well as the Ninja 400 or will discontinue the former at some point.

Kawasaki Ninja 500 ENGINE

Key features of the Ninja 500 include a new 451cc, parallel-twin engine. It produces 45bhp at 9000rpm and 42.6Nm of torque at 6000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox which has slip and assist function.

Kawasaki Ninja 500 DESIGN

The design of the Ninja 500 appears to be an evolution of the Ninja 400 and looks even sharper, sleeker and more purposeful. Unfortunately, Kawasaki has launched the Ninja 500 only in standard trim and in only one color – Metallic Spark Black. However, the SE variant with the Kawasaki Racing Team colors sold in the international markets would have looked quite attractive.

Kawasaki Ninja 500 FEATURES

Since we get the standard bike, it gets Bluetooth connectivity as standard instead of an LCD instrument cluster instead of the SE's color TFT display. Still, pairing a phone provides access to a range of information.

Kawasaki Ninja 500 SUSPENSION

Underneath the bodywork is a trellis frame and you have a telescopic fork at one end and a monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels while braking duties are handled by a 310mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The front disc brake has a larger diameter than the Ninja 400.
Bookings for the Ninja 500 have started and deliveries are expected to begin in March.

The price is high due to the Ninja 500 being a CBU import and it is more expensive than its main rivals, the Yamaha R3 and the Aprilia RS457.

Kawasaki Ninja 500 AVAILABILITY

Bookings for the Ninja 500 have already begun, with deliveries expected to begin in March.
