The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to announce the results of the General Duty (GD) Constable Examination 2024 soon. The examination was held from February 20 to March 7, 2024, and a re-examination for students who faced technical problems was conducted on March 30. The SSC GD Constable Examination 2024 was conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles. A total of 26,146 vacancies were issued for the General Duty Constable (GD constable) post. The examination was held across the country in a very wide range.
The SSC GD Constable Examination 2024 consisted of a Computer Based Test (CBT), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and a Physical Standard Test (PST). The CBT consisted of 100 objective type questions from the following subjects: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English Language and Comprehension. The PET and PST were conducted to assess the physical fitness of the candidates.
The candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted for the PET and PST. The final selection will be made on the basis of the combined merit of the CBT, PET, and PST.
